I remembe going to concerts where you could tai gait in the parking lot but many have stopped that because they want you to buy 7 dollar beers. I,m 52 and have seen alot of the big bands back in the 70s and 80s. since I,m 70 miles west if chicago its hard to go because you have to get a hotel pay for parking food booze and a 150 dollar ticket. they have to be relley good and worth it. alot of those bands that played real music and actually sang are gone. I miss the old days Report Are you sure you want to delete this comment? |
| Major concert tours |
By Mark Brown It's a heavily traveled concert road this year, with every conceivable act and genre getting out there. But the mystery surrounds those who haven't announced their plans yet. Skrillex, Pretty Lights and others are going out, but are staying mum. Van Halen may hit some festival dates, but don't hold your breath for a U.S. tour to make up the canceled dates from last year. Watch for Paul McCartney to hit festivals (he's headlining Bonnaroo) and the occasional stadium hit-and-run. Prince has become active online again, but no word if that's going to translate to the stage. Drake's going out, but no dates are firm yet; same with Kanye West, who has three U.K. dates on the book before his U.S. tour. And no one knows what the Rolling Stones are gonna do for their 50th, but it's going to be something. Here's what we do know at this point. |
