In 1990, David Goffin graduated magna cum laude from the
University of Pennsylvania with a degree in History and Economics.
He spent five years on Wall Street as a corporate strategist
creating new businesses in emerging markets and technologies.
Goffin studied at the University of Southern California School of
Cinema-Television in the prestigious Peter Stark Producing Program.
In 1997 he graduated first in his class and won the Hollywood
Foreign Press Award for his final student project.
Goffin served as the supervising producer of the first three
seasons of "American Idol." Before that, Goffin produced
"Eco-Challenge" with Mark Burnett Productions and "Beyond The Glory"
for Fox Sports. He has been nominated for three Emmy Awards and two
Producer Guild of America Awards, and won a People's Choice Award in
2005 for "American Idol."
Goffin lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Jody, and their son,
Zachary. His birth date is March 12, 1968.
