If you think GFR is only manufactured radio fare, listen to their Live album, from around 1969-70(pre-Closer To Home) They absolutely ROCK....I've got this on vinyl, 8-track, and CD.  Learned to play bass by it in high school....seeing them live would make you a believer.

ANY TIME THAT I NEED A BOOST OF ENERGY, ALL I HAVE TO DO IS PUT IN SOME GRAND FUNK RAILROAD. THEY ARE ONE OF THE FEW BANDS THAT CAN MAKE A PERSON FEEL ALIVE AT THE DROP OF A HAT, OR SHOULD I SAY NOTE. IT’S A SHAME THAT NO ONE ELSE CAN FILL THERE SHOES. THANKS FOR SOME GREAT ROCK’N ROOL.
