For many music fans, there shouldn't even need to be a Gay Pride Month --
one's sexual orientation shouldn't matter. With that in mind, this gallery
showcases a collection of artists who have worked tirelessly, in their music and
lives, ... moreto build such a world.
Sir Elton John
There's a good reason why it's Sir Elton: The Englishman born
Reginald Kenneth Dwight in 1947 has long been involved with causes of human
rights and tolerance, from greater understanding and compassion for victims of
HIV through the Elton John AIDS Foundation, to teaming up with Cyndi Lauper for last year's Give a Damn Campaign.
Oh, and did we mention that he's sold over 250 million records?
