The Everly Brothers

Don and Phil Everly, pictured here in 1965, grew their country-tinged, harmonic rock at their guitar-playing dad's feet in 1940s Iowa. Their first major hit was 1957's "Bye Bye Love," which was quickly followed by other catchy singles including "Cathy's Clown," "Wake Up Little Susie" and "Bird Dog" for a total of 26 top-40 songs. (David Redfern / Redferns / Retna Ltd.)
