When you're Justin Timberlake and Jessica Biel, a simple shopping spree won't do. Instead, your retail therapy needs scene-setting elements such as a romantic European city, vintage sparklers and an unsubtle promotion of an upcoming project.

People reports that the pair, who in recent days have been in Rome sightseeing and engaging in sigh-worthy, fortuitously captured PDA, found some bright and shiny objects during a trip to a signage-free, shoebox-sized jewelry shop last Friday.

The store, located on a cobblestone street near the Via Condotti, the city's most exclusive shopping district, has a sizeable safe filled with gems, and Biel reportedly modeled almost every item in it before deciding on a disco-era diamond bracelet and ring (no word on whether the bauble was of the engagement variety, as recent rumors have suggested).

"I could tell they had very refined taste because they asked about the history of all the jewelry," explains owner Nicola Boncompagni, who tossed in that the squeezes appeared "shy but in love."

Not that shy. At one point, the strapping starlet slipped on a necklace from the 17th century, a revelation the mag says prompted the crooner to begin belting out a song from the soundtrack to her forthcoming, '30s-set flick, "Easy Virtue."

Cute detail, but we gotta wonder who passed along this PR-friendly piece of information, because something tells us an Italian shopkeeper isn't up on the musical accompaniments to Jessica's unreleased movies.

Speaking of unreleased movies, Jennifer Aniston has several lined up, including "Marley & Me," "Traveling" and "Management," but for now, she's enjoying some rest and relaxation.

The star and her preternaturally toned body surfaced in Los Cabos, Mexico, over the weekend, where she donned one of her many bikinis to expose her already bronzed epidermis to still more harmful UV rays as she chilled by the beach.

This is Jen's second bikini-filled trip to Mexico in as many weeks, although her previous getaway was reportedly for a photo shoot.
