Will Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz soon pledge to love and cherish one another in sickness and health, for richer or poorer (but probably richer, given how lucrative exclusive wedding pics are these days), as long as they both shall live?

Us reports the possibly pregnant warbler, 23, and her Fall Out Boy fiancé, 28, will tie the knot at a "top secret" location on Saturday, a little more than a month after they announced their engagement with a Web site posting.

"Proper invites have not been sent out but instead guests have been given a save-the-date notice," a mole tattles to the magazine. "All guests will be transported in shuttles to the wedding location."

Ashlee flashes her glittery diamond ring as Pete admires her non-carat-based assets.

The rehearsal dinner is supposedly set for Friday night, an event the insider describes as "an intimate affair" for "family and close friends only."

For now, Simpson's rep is staying tight-lipped about the aisle-walk nattering, curtly telling the mag, "This is a private matter. There is nothing to confirm."

People previously reported that Ashlee and Pete would say "I do" at a pal's pad near San Diego. If the hitching happens, expect big sister Jessica to be her maid of honor (Tony Romo's attendance remains a wild card) and dad-manager-shots-caller Joe to walk her down the aisle.

In the midst of the matrimonial mumbling, the prospective bride and groom took to the airwaves to talk about their courtship.

"I was in the 'friend zone' with her for a good solid year," Wentz revealed to Los Angeles radio station 98.7 on Tuesday. "I spent a long time in the 'friend zone.'"

The skinny jean- and flat iron-reliant rocker, who was first linked to Ashlee in September 2006, self-deprecatingly adds, "I'd be calling her and following her around like a puppy dog."

The remodeled starlet chimed in during the chat to clarify that they were "friends with benefits," and both went on to detail the demure wooing technique she used on their first date.

"The first time we really hung out she flashed me," Wentz fessed up, with Simpson contributing a tidbit that probably won't make it into the wedding toasts: "I lifted my dress over my head."
