Star claims the crooner, who welcomed son Parker in August and announced the obvious with a People cover story a short time later, is dating Broadway hoofer Reed Kelly. "Everybody knows Reed as Clay's guy," a mole on the Great White Way tells the tab. "Clay met him when he was doing 'Spamalot' in early 2008, and that's one of the reasons he came back to the show again." The pair reportedly turned up together at Rosie O'Donnell's Building Dreams for Kids charity gala late last month, with a source saying, "It was obvious they were a couple."

Earlier this week, Jennifer Aniston called the "insatiable" interest in her private life "ridiculous," huffing to USA Today, "I am honestly getting sick of it." So, it's with a boulder of salt bigger than John Mayer's ego that we relay what the actress purportedly told the London Daily Mirror about her back-on squeeze. "He's a rare one," Jen is quoted as gushing to the paper of the motormouthed crooner. "He is extraordinary and it is wonderful to watch him ... the way his brain works and the way he thinks thoughts ... it's beautiful." Aniston, who has apparently been performing CAT scans on Mayer during his more creative moments ("thinks thoughts"? Really?), then reportedly added, "It's an amazing thing to watch a musician think. I don't know many musicians, but when his guitar is on him it's just like a channel. It's something I've never ever seen before."

Chances are good that Jessica Biel's Christmas gift from Justin Timberlake is gonna look a lot like this. The strapping starlet tells British GQ that her nearly two-year romance with the chart-topper is a "sparkly present," one she doesn't want to open "in front of strangers." She says she makes a point to keep her piehole closed about the relationship because "it's the one part of my life that is my own and not for anyone else." Other parts, however, are for everyone to enjoy. In the new trailer for her drama "Powder Blue," Biel is prominently featured swinging on a stripper pole while wearing only a few scraps of fabric over her preternaturally toned lady bits. "Your face and your body can get your foot in the door, obviously. And I'm thankful for that," the actress acknowledges to the men's mag. "But I think it's almost historical in Hollywood that there just aren't so many good parts for women as there are for men. I think as long as you're playing the wife or the girlfriend to the lead, then you're always playing second fiddle to the guys."

Madonna and Alex Rodriguez have repeatedly insisted they're just good friends, but that hasn't quelled rumors of a much closer connection. "Alex and Madonna are very, very cozy," a source contends to the New York Daily News. "Yes, they are intimate, and they are intoxicated with one another. Alex can't get over that he's with Madonna." But will the pop icon sober up from her supposed love hangover before the baseball star does? "This isn't a deep and serious love affair. It will last as long as Madonna wants it to," posits the pessimistic insider. "She could get five or six years out of it -- but only if it's in her best interest to keep him around." Speaking of keeping him around, while A-Rod has shot down reports that he and Madonna are looking for a high-priced pad together in New York, the paper believes there's house hunting going on, at least on his end. Rodriguez is said to be actively searching -- with some help from the Big M -- for a place near her Upper East Side digs. "They don't want to be in the same apartment," asserts an A-Rod snitch, "but they do want to be near one another."

Fergie and Josh Duhamel are closing in on the one-year anniversary of their engagement, and it appears nuptial progress is finally being made. TMZ.com caught the longtime couple browsing the household wares at a Beverly Hills outpost of Crate & Barrel on Sunday. The actor tried to explain away the scanner they were toting by saying they were registering for "Christmas gifts." Duhamel recently told the Canadian version of "Entertainment Tonight" that the wedding planning has been "going great. It's fun actually. We're both really excited about it and it will be good."
