With his 30th birthday just weeks away, John Mayer shows no signs of settling down. Seems
the facial contortion-afflicted crooner has rebounded from his brief but saliva-soaked dalliance with Cameron Diaz by taking up with another actress. Mayer
was snapped getting hands-on with "Friday Night Lights" cutie Minka Kelly as they dined, shopped and hung out in
Los Angeles over the weekend. Meanwhile, People reports the dark-haired duo also
got up close and personal while making the scene in Austin, Texas, a few days
back. While their reps remain mum on the romance rumblings, an insider tells the
mag, "They're having fun." The Jessica Simpson-ditching singer also appeared to have
oodles of fun with Diaz, with the two spotted "all over each other" at various
New York hot spots. Kelly, for her part, was linked to "Fantastic Four" eye candy Chris Evans for about a millisecond
back in June.
Here's hoping Dylan McDermott's new show, "Big Shots," is a ratings success,
because his marriage is facing imminent cancellation. The actor's rep confirms
to People that he's separated from actress Shiva Rose, his wife of nearly a dozen years (in
Hollywood time, that means they were approaching their golden anniversary). They
have two daughters, Collette, 11, and Charlotte, 2. And because no celebrity
split would be complete without using their onetime words of love against them
(hey, we don't make the rules, people), McDermott once gushed of spying Rose in
a Los Angeles coffee shop, "I was in love with her right away. For her, it
was a little longer, you know, a couple of years. But for me, it was right away.
I guess it was grace." Shiva, 38, has been equally effusive about her husband,
telling People that she initially didn't "want anything to do" with "a handsome
actor," but "then he opened his mouth, and he was very poetic and eloquent, and
he had a brain behind those beautiful blue eyes."
Pink and Carey Hart are doing their darnedest to downplay
rumors of an imminent marital implosion with some very public shows of
togetherness. Not only did paparazzi conveniently catch the couple cuddling and
kissing during a motorcycle ride in Los Angeles on Friday (per People), but two
nights later the singer treated her motocross champ hubby to a lap dance while
performing "Killing Me Softly" at a crowded karaoke bar (per TMZ.com). The
latest issue of Us Weekly claims the ink-covered couple's nearly two-year-old
union is about to go kerplooey, citing Pink's
apparent need for space and Hart's frustration with their "constant arguing."
The popster's rep has blasted the breakup rumors as "complete bullsh*t."
Has Kate Hudson already grown bored with her
camera-captured supermarket make-out sessions with
B-list beau Dax Shepard? In a story we urge you to swallow with a
heapin' helping of salt, OK! magazine posits that the PDA-disposed pair may be
on the outs -- and says the funnyman was the last to know their summer romance
had cooled. "Dax got a phone call about it from a friend," a Shepard source
maintains to the mag. "He's upset that she didn't bother to say anything to
him." Whatever the state of their relationship, Hudson isn't lacking company.
The New York Daily News spied her out on the town Thursday night with her
billionaire pal Ron Burkle.
