With the clock ticking on Jennifer Lopez's date with the stork (possibly a double
date, if twin rumors are true), she's talking up her
intention to keep her private life private -- from the cover of a major
magazine.
"I do realize people want to know [about the pregnancy] because they're
interested, but this is the first time I'm going through this," Mrs. Marc Anthony explains to Harper's Bazaar, which notes she
conducted the interview in six-inch stilettos. "This is my experience and my
husband's experience, and we get to hold that for a little while."

Besides, says Lopez, who confirmed the bulgingly obvious during a Nov. 8
concert with Anthony, they are "just getting used to the fact that we've told
everybody."
Not that fessing up was necessary. "I kind of feel like everybody knew
anyway," figures J.Lo. "I was on tour with a bubble gut!"
And as she moves into maternal mode, she's going to do her darnedest to
prevent her impending poopie diaper experiences from becoming tabloid fodder.
"I'm just feeling too protective to open that door right now," admits the
former member of the media beast known as Bennifer. "It's a Pandora's box. It's
a destructive lifestyle to be out there. I know because I've lived it. Being on
the cover of the tabloids every day for two years -- it's hard. You start
forgetting who you really are inside."
She credits her wispier half for helping her see the tight-lipped, low-key
light, saying, "He made me realize you can be an artist, and have credibility
and success, without your life being on public display 24 hours a day."
And Jennifer believes their offspring "will be whatever we are" when it comes
to dealing with the press -- "private when it comes to that stuff."
As for whether she plans to take an extended breather in the post-baby world,
Lopez, whose career of late has stumbled both at the box office and on the pop
charts, remains undecided.
"I don't know -- and I like that, because my life has been so planned for so
many years," she concedes. "Once I did the tour, I really just wanted to shut it
down, and since then I've had to do three things, including a video. It may not
sound like a lot, but you know, as this point, any woman can sympathize. It
is a lot. I was ready just to sit."
