The music: Though Bruce Springsteen has long since achieved the
highest status of Rock God-dom, don't think for a moment that the man is a
dinosaur carted out to play the oldies and then gone in 90 minutes -- quite the
contrary. With the amazing E Street Band backing him up in a musical mind-meld,
the Boss, on tour to support 2007's "Magic," is still a performance powerhouse, as
vibrant and intense as he was in the '70s, '80s and '90s. Reviews of the
multicontinent, two-year outing have been ecstatic. The man may be pushing 60,
but he is still the walking embodiment of the redemptive power of music.
