The music: Summerfest, located in Henry Maier Festival Park
in Milwaukee, is the Mother of All Music Festivals. Spanning 10 days, Summerfest
is essentially a massive fair with an accent on music, with 12 separate stages
that play host to a seemingly endless stream of acts both local and national,
along with, for a start, food stands, fireworks and children's activities. $8
gets you in, and admission to all but the headlining stage is free. Otherwise,
you pay about $20 to see performers such as Rush, Tom Petty and Stevie Wonder --
a heck of a deal no matter your budget.
