Park, Slow Food Rocks is part of Slow Food Nation 08, which brings together
farmers, artisans, consumers, and companies working to increase variety and
sustainability in food production and distribution. A number of path-breaking
acts are lending their talents to the cause; The New Pornographers bring their
kinetic, multi-part-harmonied sixties pop, Gnarls Barkley showcases a daring
fusion of R&B and hip hop, and bay area native Phil Lesh, bass player for a
little band called The Grateful Dead, supplies the homegrown 60s country-rock
hooks.
