The music: Held on Soo Pass Ranch in northern Minnesota, the
10,000 Lakes Festival is host to four stages and 60 musical artists. What sets
this event apart from others of its ilk are the surroundings. In addition to
hearing some of the finest psychedelic/jam-band performers this side of your
vintage Grateful Dead bootlegs, concert-goers can camp out on the shore of Lake
Sallie, which, as anyone who's been in this part of remote America can tell you,
has a beauty all its own and helps make the experience a memorable one.
