The music: Organized around principles of sustainability and
environmental awareness, the first annual Rothbury festival sports a lineup that
veers more in the sonic direction of blues and jam bands yet also features rap
and indie rock. In keeping with their progressive politics, the festival also
hosts the Rothbury Think Tank, a series of discussions, presentations and panels
with leading scientists, writers and scholars, all geared toward providing an
understanding of the challenges connected to climate change. In addition,
several performance spaces feature theatrical shows and multimedia experiences.
