Sierra Leone's Bajah + the Dry Eye Crew gave an explosive show at the new Knitting Factory in Brooklyn on Saturday, Oct. 23 as part of the Okayplayer "Okay Africa" showcase.

Featuring a wide range of danceable yet highly politicized anthems, their sound melds Afro-pop with ... moredancehall, hip-hop and roots reggae. Already stars in their war-torn home, these self-proclaimed messengers of peace are preparing to release their international debut next fall. ?uestlove and Black Thought of the Roots, Talib Kweli, K'Naan, El-P and other hip-hop stars have already begun working on contributions to the new disc.
