Brothers
Tarquin and
Peter Katis and drummer
Adam Pierce make up the fun and eclectic ferris wheel ride that is
the Philistines Jr. The homegrown project has been going since 1990, and the following year saw the release of their debut EP, a 12" title
Greenwich, CT. Three singles and an EP later, the group released it's first full-length,
The Sinking of the S.S. Danehower, in the mid-'90s. The band did several tours of the Eastern U.S. and U.K. during these years, as well as a few recording sessions with
John Peel. After several years of silence, while band members were busy with their other projects, including
the Zambonis,
the Philistines Jr. reemerged with the sprawling and impressive
Analog Vs. Digital on their own Tarquin Records label in 2001. ~ Joslyn Layne, All Music Guide
