Manager defends Britney Spears over lip syncing controversy

WENN

Britney Spears' manager has spoken out to defend the pop star over accusations she lip syncs during her Las Vegas residency, insisting it is "virtually impossible" for her to sing throughout the show.

The "Toxic" hitmaker ended her first run of concerts at the Planet Hollywood Hotel & Casino resort last month, and she is due to return in August for another 50 gigs.

Her initial residency in Sin City attracted criticism that she was not singing live at various points during the performance, and now her manager Adam Leber has defended the pop star.

He tells Medium.com, "To put on the show that she puts on, it's virtually impossible to sing the entire time and do what she does. She's singing on every song, basically, when she has the ability to sing. There's no way you can dance for 90 minutes straight and sing the entire time."

I don't like today's stars as next as the next person, but gimme a break already! You guys are being jerks. The lipsyncing has nothing to do with lack of talent; it has to do with the fact that today's performers have to dance/run/hop/skip across the stage as they perform. It's not like in the days of The Beatles when the band just stood still in one spot and shook their moptops while playing instruments. The fans want to see theatrics and dancing, want to see a full-blown Broadway/Showgirls style concert with J Lo, Britney Spears and all their other favorite dancers breaking out into intense routines the entire time. Try belting out a song at the top of your lungs while doing a choreography routine, see how long you can keep singing without getting winded.

Who are the people who haven't figured out that this is what a Britney Spears concert is going to be already?
Probably the same people who are gonna get appalled after seeing two G-string wearing male midgets mud wrestling at a Lady Gaga concert. Ya' should've known better.............

Very few singer today have talent.  It's all theatrics. Can you imagine what Spears, Beiber, or any rap star would sound like trying to sing acapella.

Seriously?  This is something new?  There are so many 'no talent' people these days, that all of them hide behind voice enhancements in the studio and are relegated to lip sync in their concerts.  People who buy their music and go to their concerts support this crap.

Wake up faux supporters.

Elvis sang and performed for over 90 minutes without faking it - why can't the stars of today do it? Laziness? No work ethic? Sense of entitlement?
