Wilko Johnson to defy doctors by playing at Glastonbury Festival
Terminally ill rocker Wilko Johnson is to defy doctors by playing a high profile set at Britain's iconic Glastonbury Festival. The former Dr. Feelgood star was told he had just months to live after being diagnosed with inoperable pancreatic cancer in January, 2013. Johnson turned down the chance to undergo chemotherapy treatment and opted to head out on the road instead, and he has now landed a slot at the U.K.'s most famous music festival in June (14). He joins the bill along with other acts including Kasabian, who will be headlining the event for the first time, Arcade Fire, Pixies, Lily Allen and Robert Plant. However, Johnson was left baffled when the official line-up announcement was made on Friday (04Apr14), as organisers had spelled his name wrong on the advertising poster. He posted a link to the image on his page, adding, "So who's Wilco Johnson?" The festival in Somerset, England runs from 25-29 June (14).
