Robin Thicke ends spat over 'Blurred Lines' with Funkadelic record label bosses

Robin Thicke has one less legal woe in his ongoing "Blurred Lines" spat - Bridgeport Music bosses are no longer defendants.

The music executives accused Thicke and collaborators Pharrell Williams and T.I. of illegally sampling Funkadelic's "Sexy Ways," but it appears the parties have agreed to settle the dispute.

Thicke filed a pre-emptive lawsuit seeking declaratory relief last August, suggesting threats were being made by the rights holders of Funkadelic's songs.

With Bridgeport bosses out of the picture, Thicke now faces a possible legal battle with Marvin Gaye's children over their claims "Blurred Lines" is too similar to Gaye's "Got to Give It Up."

They also claim Thicke's "Love After War" is too similar to Gaye's "After the Dance."

A mediation session is scheduled for next month, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
