Bassist suspended indefinitely by 3 Doors Down

NEW YORK (AP) — The bassist for 3 Doors Down has been suspended indefinitely by the band following his DUI arrest.

Todd Harrell was charged Tuesday in Mississippi with a second-offense DUI involving a substance other than alcohol. The rock group said in a statement Thursday that Harrell was suspended to protect the band's "image and integrity."

In 2012, Harrell's Cadillac rear-ended another vehicle. He was later found to be driving under the influence of prescription drugs and was convicted.

The band says it is encouraging Harrell to "address and resolve his problems."

3 Doors Down's Top 10 hits include "Kryptonite," ''When I'm Gone" and "Here Without You." The band's first two albums, 2000's "The Better Life" and 2002's "Away From the Sun," have sold 6 million and 4 million units, respectively.

They had already suspended him after the last DUI. As a matter of fact, they said they fired him. I don't know why it is just now being reported after this new arrest. I saw them in concert last week before this happened and he wasn't with the band.

Too bad America didn't have the sense to "indefinitely suspend" Dumbya Bush and Dikhead Cheney either. During their 8 years of political nightmare and arrogance they have neglected the lousy economy, used 9/11 as an excuse to suspend liberties in the name of security, started an illegal immoral money-sucking war based on total lies - it was another Vietnam, suppressed dissent, enacted gross human rights violations and other crimes that have disgraced America. Those two both have DUI convictions, making them the first President and VP with criminal records. Totally irresponsible. There is NO excuse for these morons' actions either. Lock them up ! Make them go to jail. Make them go directly to jail and they shall not pass Go or collect $200.
