James Arthur apologizes for homophobic slur

British singer James Arthur has issued a public apology after allegedly hurling a homophobic slur at a fellow musician in a rap track. The "Impossible" hitmaker recorded a "diss track" to hit back at Micky Worthless after the rapper mocked the singer as a "pop puppet" in his own song. Arthur branded Worthless a "[expletive] queer" in his rap. Many fans took to Twitter on Saturday to complain about the controversial lyrics, with one user writing, "People kill themselves everyday because there's insults like that around. It's not something a role model should say."

The singer has now issued apology via the social networking website, writing, "Any offence I have caused by using the term 'queer' in my rap battle with MC Worthless. I just have to say I'm extremely disappointed in myself for being so naive with the diss track I made for an unknown rapper recently. I would just like to make it completely clear that it was not meant in anyway as a reference to homosexuality. I realise where the term has come from in meaning... but used in the context of the rap battles I have grown up with it has come to mean something completely different ... That said, I understand why it could cause offence and that definitely wasn't my intention."

So now we have to worry about **** getting upset. What a joke I think its sick looking at 2 guys walking down the street holding hands and kissing and have cloths on them that don't fit. So I have to explane to my kids what these people are doing. Im offended by the sight of these people and so are my kids.

Just because the guy used the word queer doesn't make him homophobic.
Maybe he just doesn't like ****s.
After all, the other guys name is worthless.
Sounds about right.

:et's break this down- homophobe/homophobic by definition implies some kind of fear of homosexuals. I don't know about other folks, but I don't think I'd call someone I was afraid of a "queer". Let's call a spade a spade - what Arthur said was NOT homophobic, it was anti-homosexual.

I am sick of all this cry babies that we the fathers of todays youth have produced. He called me a name, he said ****, he called me a fag,and they still call a football team Redskins.

I am glad my life is almost over I tired of seeing how once a great society has become a nation of men-women not to be confused from real women. I watched a commercial showing the transition of males from having hair to shaving it off unless your a body builder which most aren't why do you young men today want to look like girls. As parent my wife caught our son shaving his legs then she noticed he shaved his chest hair and even on his arms. I have a daughter but I guess I have 2 now. Unless our young men-girls toughen up we are domed all our enemy's will have to do is through razors out of a plane there goes our defense. We need great leaders again like Patton, Ike and even Truman not to mention we need real men actors like the likes of the Duke John Wayne, Bogart, Stewart and Steve McQueen the bad **** himself.
