Sir Paul McCartney weighed in on the criticism directed at Miley Cyrus over her raunchy routines, saying: "We've seen worse than that."

The Beatles icon made a special effort to check out the former "Hannah Montana" star's controversial performance with Robin Thicke at the MTV Video Music Awards in August.

He told Sky News, "You know what, I don't think it was explicit at all. You couldn't see anything! I watched it just as an experiment, to check. But obviously you look at it and you go, 'What's everyone shouting about?' ... I know she is dancing with Robin Thicke at the awards -- so what? Come on! We've seen worse than that."

What people don't get is the fact that millions of young fans were watching the show. If that's the best a "role model" can do, I shudder to think what the world is coming to.  We need a major shift back to values and accepting responsibility for our behaviour, regardless of who we are!

Paul is an English Gentleman. It would do him no good to be truthful and become a target to the minions of clueless teenies. Music has hit the skids bigtime! BIGTIME. The best music lays below the surface waiting for you to find it. The stuff these turd-sniffing kids like is being fed to them by BIG BIZ record companies. Chow down losers. Your lack of taste and musical knowledge is making plenty of talentless "artists" fabulously wealthy. You teenage wastelanders are slowly becoming unaware of what good music is. Hence, Miley and dozens more with limited abilities make a fortune. Sad thing there is, you nerds justify her success because she makes money as if that makes it all OK. Pass the smelling salts please.

if the media would quit zoning in on her maybe she'd go away,I am tired of her already no worse than Paris ,but tired of her quickly also. Please people take some journalist classes and become real reporters. With real stories quit repeating trash.
