The "Pitch Perfect" comic actress was set to appear as a presenter during Saturday's events to welcome Britney Spears and Cyrus to the stage, but she was cut from the show after apparently offending the "We Can't Stop" singer's handlers with her planned speech, which referenced Cyrus' raunchy 'twerking'-style dance moves.
She explains, "(Her) management got a copy of my jokes and then I was banned. But the jokes weren't that bad! It was like, 'Miley Cyrus got to the top through her raw talent and hard Twerk.' It wasn't even that bad!"
Spears ended up replacing Wilson to announce the former "Hannah Montana" star's arrival to the stage.
