The ex-boy-bander has drawn on his experiences in 'N Sync to launch his megagroup, which has 11 members. The former "America's Best Dance Crew" judge was inspired by the Japanese band AKB48, which has between 48 and 60 in the lineup at any given time.
Chasez tells Billboard magazine, "We saw one of their music videos, and I was blown away. It was like this army on stage performing, and I've always been attracted to the spectacle. I was like, 'We should build our own pop group, but in our own way.'"
Girl Radical's first single is a cover of No Doubt's 1995 hit "Just A Girl."
