'Magic Mike' musical is coming to Broadway

Get your crisp dollar bills ready because Channing Tatum has announced that he's taking the male striptease movie "Magic Mike" to audiences on Broadway.

"You knew you were getting a sequel, but now you'll also soon be able to check out the LIVE stage version ... of 'Magic Mike, the Musical'!" Tatum's website revealed. "Your favorite sexy male stripper story is hitting the stage and bringing with it the best of Broadway."

People's Sexiest Man Alive for 2012 is attached to the project. "The show will be produced by Channing Tatum and his partner Reid Carolin, along with the film's director Steven Soderbergh and co-producers Gregory Jacobs and Nick Wechsler," the website reads. "Songs will be written by Tom Kitt and Brian Yorkey, the creators of other Tony- and Pulitzer-winning Broadway hits like "Next to Normal," and the book will be written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa."
