Mumford & Sons bassist hospitalized with blood clot

Mumford & Sons have cancelled all their shows this week after their bassist was hospitalized for emergency surgery to treat a blood clot on his brain.

Bing: Mumford & Sons on tour

Ted Dwane was admitted to a medical facility on Monday and is to undergo an operation to treat the condition. The group has axed shows in Woodlands, Texas, Dallas and New Orleans in light of the news.

"Our friend and bandmate Ted has been feeling unwell for a few days, and yesterday he was taken to a hospital to receive emergency treatment. The scans revealed a blood clot on the surface of his brain that requires an operation. Ted is receiving excellent care, and we are being assured that he will recover quickly from surgery," a statement posted on the band's website on Tuesday reads. "Sadly we have to postpone three upcoming headline shows planned for this week ... All dates will be rescheduled and will be announced as soon as we can. We have no plans to cancel or postpone any other appearances along this current tour. We're all wishing Ted a speedy recovery."

What, no prayers from you "people" for the other 30,000 people who have blood clots on their brains in this country right now?  Oh, its just cuz you like their music, I see, so forget everyone else who doesn't give you greedy people something first?  Very "Christian" of you all.

My prayers are with Ted for a speedy recovery.  I enjoy listening to the music of your group even though I am of the baby boomer generation.

Whoa! I just saw them perform live last Thursday evening... what an amazing show. I hope Ted allows himself plenty of time to recover.

We will wait, we will wait for you!

Haha... but seriously, feel better!
