Paul McCartney kicks off 'Out There' tour in Orlando

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Paul McCartney is kicking off the North American leg of his "Out There" tour in Orlando.

The massive production, which requires 31 trucks' worth of equipment, includes lasers, huge pyrotechnics, and state of the art video displays, according to the website of the former Beatles star.

McCartney performed the show to a sold-out crowd of 55,000 people in Brazil earlier this month, performing "Band on the Run", "Hey Jude", "Yesterday" and "Let It Be."

He will perform at Orlando's Amway Center on Saturday and Sunday night. The Orlando Sentinel reports it is McCartney's only performance in Florida.

At one point during the show, McCartney is raised 20ft above the stage on a special riser as he performs "Blackbird" and "Here Today" acoustically, according to his website.

His new stuff is not as well known, I'm sure he'll do some new things.  Not everyone's had a chance to see him perform the songs that made Paul and the Beatles so famous.  One of my favorite more newer song at the time was Say Say Say with Michael.  Too bad he's gone.

I THINK McCARTNEY,LIKE TOM JONES,OR ROD STEWART SHOULD TURN HIS ACT COMPLETELY AROUND,AND DO NEW,OR DIFFERENT STUFF JUST TO KEEP THEM FRESH,AND RELEVANT.NOT COMING OUT,AND DOING THE SAME OLD TIRED STUFF THAT THEY HAVE DONE 1 MILLION TIMES BEFORE.DON'T GET ME WRONG,THE BEATLES WERE GREAT,BUT MAYBE IT'S TIME TO CHANGE IT UP,AND MAYBE GIVE THE CROWDS AN UNEXPECTED TREAT.HOW MANY TIMES CAN YOU LISTEN TO HEY JUDE?IF YOU'RE GOING TO BE NEGATIVE DON'T BOTHER TO GIVE ME A REPLY.

He is one of the few performers that actually enjoys performing all the time. Most as they age change the format to a slower performance, but not Paul.
