Rocker Richie Sambora has pulled out of Bon Jovi's upcoming European and South African concerts because he's still addressing the "personal matter" that prompted him to bow out of a series of the band's North American shows.
The guitarist missed the group's gig in Calgary, Canada, on April 2, and the band subsequently revealed Sambora would sit out of the rest of the performances on that leg of the Because We Can tour.
Sambora, who has been a member of Bon Jovi since 1983, thanked fans for their well wishes and insisted he would return to the stage "very soon," but now he's extending his hiatus. A statement posted on the Bon Jovi website on Tuesday reads, "Due to a personal matter, Richie Sambora will not be performing on the European and South African leg of the tour. All shows will go on as scheduled."
Bon Jovi are slated to kick off their South African dates in Cape Town next Tuesday, while the European shows will start in Bulgaria the following week. Meanwhile, the band members have postponed their hometown gig in New Jersey on July 24 due to scheduling issues. The MetLife Stadium show will now take place on July 27.
Seriously? Do any of you think before you speak? The man has personal issues he needs to deal w/that are NONE OF OUR BUSINESS. IF IT has to do with a "disease" that he can't control, at least he is man enough to admit he needs help. If you look long enough at yourselves or someone you know, you WILL find someone with some form of this "disease". This man is beyond talented, is constantly giving of himself to help others, and is a good family man and is adored by millions...yes, I said MILLIONS.
Do yourselves a favor and get some facts before you open your filthy mouths.
