Bob Dylan to tour with Wilco, My Morning Jacket

Bob Dylan will be touring with My Morning Jacket and Wilco this summer as the Americanarama Festival of Music.

Find: Dylan opens up about troubled past

An announcement for the tour appeared on Dylan's website Sunday, alongside the festival's logo, with a slogan "Meet me there – Beat me there!" In addition to Dylan and his band and the other headliners, additional artists including the Richard Thompson Electric Trio and Ryan Bingham will be joining the show at select venues.

My Morning Jacket's Jim James first dropped news of the tour on Thursday night in a Record Store Day preview interview with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, saying that his band would be touring with Dylan and another "beloved band."

Pre-sale tickets will be available starting Wednesday morning, April 24. Full details about the North American tour are expected to emerge on Monday.

Bob's band is really great, they play power chord ballads in such a way that,  well let's just say he has a great band and the structure of his songs , i mean, you can really rock em good, his songs are just so dam  good. i like his album 'planet waves'   and 'desire'  i used to listen to those albums when i was a kid and they really made an impression on me - he's still soundin' really good after all these years,  keep on pickin those tombstone blues Bobby,  you and your band still sound grate(ful)
you ain't gonna stop that slow train comin until he drops dead
