Beyoncé works up a thirst for Pepsi during dance-off with self

Have you hit Beyoncé overload yet? No? Then you'll want to check out her newest release, a one-minute Pepsi commercial titled "Mirrors," which is set to the strains of her new song, "Grown Woman."

Here's the intricate plot: Beyoncé practices her dance moves in front of a mirror, the better to watch her long blond tresses in motion. She grows thirsty. And dewy (ladies don't sweat).

What's a parched superstar to do?

Fortunately, a cooler full of iced Pepsi is on hand, and Queen B quenches her dry throat with the sugary, carbonated beverage, just like all professional dancers do.

Then the hallucinations begin.

She has a mirrored dance-off with former incarnations, from "Bootylicious" Bey to "Single Ladies" Bey to Sasha Fierce. It's all apparently too much for the fragile fabric of the universe, and the mirror soon explodes in what we're guessing was a painful, gory shower of jagged glass.

"Embrace your past," Beyoncé says as she struts off, Pepsi in hand (hey, you'd strut too if you had a $50 million endorsement deal). "But live for now."

It's no coincidence that her latest effort debuted on April 4. After all, four is her lucky number (both she and hubby Jay-Z were both on the 4th, and they married on April 4, 2008). Look for the entire "Grown Woman" track to drop on Monday.

"I had so much fun collaborating on this campaign with Pepsi. I got to re-live some of my favorite past characters and looks," Beyoncé said in a statement. "It was the first time I saw those costumes in years, and it was very emotional. I'm proud of those moments, and they all connect in some way and have helped me evolve into who I am today."
