David Bowie's wife sparks tour hopes

David Bowie's supermodel wife, Iman, has dropped strong hints that the veteran singer will tour again after releasing his first new album in a decade.

Bing: More on 'The Next Day'

The beauty accidentally let slip that she would not be joining the music legend "on tour" because their 12-year-old, Alexandria, is still in school full-time in New York, where the family lives.

"We have a 12-year-old in school, so we are stuck. We can't travel," she told Britain's Grazia magazine. "Our schedule is around her, so I don't know. We'll have to go visit him, but we won't be on tour with him because she's in school."

The reclusive singer stepped back into the spotlight earlier this year to mark his 66th birthday by releasing the first single from his latest record "The Next Day," but he has remained tight-lipped over any plans to showcase the album live. His producer, Tony Visconti, previously stated Bowie would not be playing any of the tracks from his album in concert, but Iman's comments have given fans new hope for a string of gigs.

To all, lighten up. It's the MUSIC industry. Good for David Bowie. Not my favoite but a success and his music was unique, not mainstream cookie cutter. I never knew he said he didn't like the US but who cares. A lot of times, I don't like it either. As far as OUR generation (I'm 60) goes, we have the greatest generation of pop American Music ever. They just released a CD of new Jimmie Hendrix material. Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan have NEW CDs. Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr are out making CDs and touring. We are NOT the greateset generation (The Depression & WWII) BUT we are the greatest music generation and David Bowie is part of that. Good luck to him and you know what, I like enough of his stuff to add him as a great addition to my CD collection.

This guy can't sing at all!  I'm sorry, just really listen to him.  I am not going to go along with the crowd just because it's the thing to do.  The records and CDs are bad enough, I can't even begin to imagine how bad he must sound in person with no mechanical help.  I will definately not waste money on this show.  Ecchh!
