Sound City project
The Foo Fighters star will take to the stage in Austin on March 14 with pals
including Stevie Nicks, John Fogerty, Rick Nielsen, Rick Springfield, Brad Wilk
of Rage Against the Machine and Slipknot's Corey Taylor. Grohl formed the Sound
City Players band to promote his documentary about the California studio where
they all recorded landmark albums and singles, and the group has already played
in Los Angeles, New York, London and at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City,
Utah.
The rocker will be a busy man at the annual SXSW festival: He has also agreed
to deliver the event's keynote address on the morning of the Sound City Players
gig.
