Preliminary autopsy confirms Mindy McCready's death as suicide

HEBER SPRINGS, Ark. (AP) -- Authorities in Arkansas say preliminary autopsy results confirm country music singer Mindy McCready's death was a suicide.

The Cleburne County sheriff said in a statement Wednesday that preliminary autopsy results from Arkansas' state crime lab show McCready's death was a suicide from a single gunshot wound to the head.

Investigators have said McCready apparently shot and killed her late boyfriend's dog before she turned the gun on herself Sunday at her home in Heber Springs, Ark. Authorities found McCready's body and the dog on the front porch where her longtime musician boyfriend David Wilson died last month of a gunshot wound to the head.

Authorities are investigating Wilson's death was a suicide and haven't determined an official cause of death yet.

I never heard of her before she came out as having an affair with Roger Clemmens and I'm a country fan. I then heard of her again when she was on Dr. Drews show. Now I've heard of her again because she killed herself.

 

I still have never heard her sing and I will have forgotten her name in another month.

I love the fact that our President thinks by subduing our 2nd Amendment rights is going to reduce the amount fo gun violence in america. So, since the media has been on a frenzy to publicize every shooting, how many of these killings have been by folks who are mentally unstable with hand guns? I'd guess 80% of those a$$holes out there shooting up the neighborhood are criminals and mental jobs. Yet, they are the one's with the guns. So my quetion MR. PREZ....what is your solution to keeping the guns out of the mentally unstable and the crooks?? Limiting the number of assault weapons to the general masses only limits those guns to the law abiding folks. So now you are going to encourage the black market and put money in the pockets of the criminals in more ways now than one. Great job MR. PREZ!!! Awesome solution....so proud of your think tanks in DC!! They have the intelligence of belly lint and the foresight of blind jackass. Makes me sick...
