Randy Travis performs at Chris Kyle's memorial

DALLAS (AP) — Country music star Randy Travis performed at the memorial service for slain former Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle.

Travis told the thousands gathered at Cowboys Stadium on Monday that he was glad to be there, adding that he never met Kyle, but wished he had.

Travis then began playing his guitar and singing "Whisper My Name," which he said Kyle's wife had told him was a meaningful song for the couple. Travis also sang "Amazing Grace."

Kyle and his friend Chad Littlefield were shot and killed Feb. 2 at a North Texas gun range.

Travis has had a string of run-ins with the law over the past year. Last month, he pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated in August 2012, when police found him naked after crashing his car.

Well imagine that Randy Travis has had run-ins with the law in the past year or so.  Who knew!.

How do you LIBERALS and LEFT-WING NUTS live with your selves. It's not enough that you spend literally 30 seconds air time on a true american hero then you have to throw in a jab at Randy Travis's

last year when he's just trying to do something good for this AMERICAN HERO'S family. thanks a lot.

Glad BHO and his wife stayed the heck away. Somewhat surprised they did, anyway.

Does anybody know if George W. Bush attended the memorial service.

Many may not know, but George has kept involved with troops even though he's no longer commander & chief.

He goes to the airports when troops are coming home to welcome them. George is there, when service personnel come home in a box.

Last year he did a bicycle event with a group of former troops with prostatic limbs.

I would be surprised if he wasn't there.

Chris Kyle rest in peace, my deepest condolences to your wife and children!

We know of Randy's issues.  Let's focus on the very noble thing he did to honor this fallen SEAL.  The U.S. media continues to sink to new lows.
