Alicia Keys to perform at halftime at NBA All-Star Game

NEW YORK (AP) -- Next stop for Alicia Keys? NBA All-Star Game weekend.

The superstar, fresh off her national anthem performance at the Super Bowl, is set to be the halftime entertainment at the Feb. 17 game in Houston.

She's just one of several musicians on tap for the big game. Ne-Yo will sing during player introductions, while John Legend will sing the national anthem. Singer and "Lincoln" actress Gloria Reuben will sing the Canadian anthem.

The day before, Nick Cannon is set to host that evening's festivities, which will include performances by "American Idol" Season 11 winner Phillip Phillips, Ellie Goulding and the first live TV performance in three years by a reunited Fall Out Boy.

The All-Star Game, set to feature superstars like LeBron James and Kobe Bryant, will air live on TNT.

Wow a bunch of experts about how the national anthem should be sung...

Does it need to be sung just like your did it? Is that the problem.

Great  she gets another opportunity to butcher the National Anthem again. Country singers should be the only artist invited to sing the National Anthem, they're the only ones who seem to understand it's not about them.

Another occasion to use my "Mute" button. If ever there was an overrated singer....she's it.  Not interested in what she has to screech out next as she loves the sound of her own howl.

Will the National Anthem ever be sung by a white singer again? And sung AS IT IS WRITTEN without the singer trying to bring attention to themselves? Most of these black singers have little or no respect for the Anthem in the first place!!
