NFL: Beyoncé not the cause of Super Bowl blackout

NEW YORK (AP) -- Don't blame Beyoncé for blowing the lights out at the Super Bowl.

Bing: Beyoncé announces world tour

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said Monday that the halftime show was "absolutely not" the cause of the power outage that darkened the Superdome for half an hour during Sunday's broadcast.

Beyoncé was the halftime performer at Sunday night's game and used plenty of power to light up the stage. Some had joked that her electrifying performance was to blame for the outage.

Beyoncé's 13-minute set included hits "Crazy in Love," ''Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)" and a Destiny's Child reunion.

Too bad the blackout didn't occur during halftime. Don't hate beyonce...if you can sing, you sing, if you can't, do anything to distract from the fact you can't sing. Remember, beyonce was the only person that lip synced at the inauguration. If you can't sing, lip sync. It worked for Milli Vanilli for a while.

It was truly repulsive. No talent, and consequently, lots of razzle dazzle to cover that fact. It is so disappointing - so many performers these days are manufactured. They don't have to be good singers, or songwriters, or play instruments. They just need a great pr machine......

I didn't think she was all that entertaining. Found the show quite blah to be honest. She barely sang and you couldn't hear anyone else singing. HINT: Destiny's Child members. Even her dancing was in the so so area. She doesn't dance like she used to. I think a better show could have been found. I agree with AtlantaNative...Alicia Keys, Jennifer Hudson and the kids from Sandy Hook were all far better. Should have let all of them do the halftime show. :)
