Kid Rock says Harley deal 'just makes sense'

MADISON, Wis. (AP) -- Kid Rock says his new partnership with Harley-Davidson is a dream deal and, as the owner of multiple Harley bikes, he didn't feel like he was compromising his integrity or risking a backlash from fans.

The Milwaukee-based motorcycle maker is sponsoring Kid Rock's upcoming tour, named for his most recent release, "Rebel Soul."

The partnership, announced Monday, also includes an exclusive line of limited-edition, co-branded "Rebel Soul" merchandise featuring a line from the song: "I can't hear you over the rumble of my freedom."

Kid Rock said Tuesday that the deal "just makes sense" because Harley is "something I've used that I've loved for a long time before this deal came about."

The tour begins Friday in Kansas City and will end Aug. 31 at Harley's 110th anniversary celebration in Milwaukee.

People evolve...they learn and get better everyday, smarter, more civilized and comfortable...This is what is expected of the working class and this is what we strive to achieve!!! But for some reason people believe musicians are different....THEY ARE NOT...They strive for the same things we get better ...Kid Rock will never be 'A Devil W/O A Cause again...Def Leppard will never be Pyromania again...etc...Those were magical times for music...These BANDS still are relevant anf kick ****...

I'm not a KR fan at all. Just not my thing. I also I'm not a Harley fan ... to weak and slow ... but if you ride one then <respect> from me. You are on 2 wheels just like I am so good luck and keep the rubber side down.

Having said that, KR looks like he is happy where he is right now and Harley is pleased with the celeb push they will get. Sounds like a match made in Sturgis to me.
