AP source: Inaugural ball to feature Lady Gaga
By NEDRA PICKLER , Associated Press

WASHINGTON (AP) — Watch out Beyonce and Katy Perry. There's another diva set to perform during the inauguration festivities — Lady Gaga.

A person familiar with the inauguration tells The Associated Press that the pop star will perform at Tuesday's ball for President Barack Obama's staffers. The source spoke on condition of anonymity because that person wasn't authorized to publicly reveal the information.

The staff ball is typically a private affair. During the last inauguration festivities, Jay-Z reportedly performed for that event.

According to one attendee, Jay-Z rapped a riff on one of his hit songs, "99 Problems but George Bush Ain't One," to the delight of the throngs of young staffers who worked to elect Obama in 2008.

What happened to the days when some artists, some musicians, the most very cool among us, wouldn't be caught dead with the likes of the establishment. The establishment said "we can be cool, too"and everybody just saw right through that nonsense. And doesn't the establishment have better things to do than trying to be cool, like stopping the warmongering, baby killing military industrial complex, or building more drones to spy on more Americans, painting lip stick on a pig by stuffing Janet Napolitano in a flashy red, white and blue dress? What happened to the separation between fascist pig faced goons and the entertainment industry?

This is no longer a dignified event.  How much more ghetto can it get?  We shall find out.  And by the way, what's with the "private ceremonies"?
