Bob Dylan has been asked to headline a festival to mark the 100th birthday of his namesake Dylan Thomas in the poet's native Wales.

Politician Geraint Davies has personally invited Dylan to perform in Swansea as part of a series of events to be held in 2014, but he doesn't just want the folk rocker to show up and play his hits.

He explains, "I have asked Bob Dylan whether he would be prepared to give a centenary concert in Swansea, in order that he could blend his music with Dylan Thomas's poetry. Sony Music has come back and said that Mr. Dylan is thinking very positively about the idea."

Not only is Bob Dylan one of the greatest artist we will ever know,he will always be remembered, Think about all the great artist that came out of the 60 and 70 , I don't think there will ever be another era like that. Bob Dylan, Joe Cocker, Lynard Skynard, The Rolling Stones, the Beatles, just getting started making the  List. LOL

Anyone who goes to a Dylan concert and expects a great vocal performance would probably go see Jerry Lee Lewis and expect a guitar solo. Fact remains Bobby D is the greatest American songwriter.

The problem is, the man can't sing anymore. I saw him live in Seattle recently and, along with many, left early. My intention was to enjoy the 'opener' : Mark Knopfler. Now there was some money very well spent.
