Two official
inaugural balls will be held throughout the Washington Convention Center, along
with a children's concert on Jan. 19, though inauguration organizers have yet to
announce which artists will play what events.
Tickets for one of the galas, the Inaugural Ball, were priced at $60 and have already sold out. That event is expected to draw more than 35,000 attendees. For those who couldn't score a ticket, various unofficial inaugural balls will be happening throughout Washington, D.C.
Many of the artists performing were vocal supporters who joined the president on the campaign trail as he sought re-election: Perry played a handful of rallies, as did Wonder (who also wrote a song for the president), Legend and Anthony.
