Bing: More on Patti Page

She was one of the top-selling female singers in history, achieving more than 100 million record sales, and created a distinctive sound for the music industry in 1947 by overdubbing her own voice when she didn't have enough money to hire backup singers for the single "Confess."

She had 24 records in the top 10, including four that reached No. 1. She was also the first singer to have television programs on all three major networks, including "The Patti Page Show" on ABC.

I use her song "Left, Right Out of Your Heart" as cadence when I was "pushing boots" in the Navy. The recruits enjoyed it.

The State of Tennessee owes Patti Page a grateful thank you for all she has done singing away about Tennessee which is  one of my favorite states to travel through & enjoy so much of it's beauty. There have been quite a many famous people from Tennessee beside ms Page. There is something special about the state & so many places of historical records & it's very holy grounds of the dead who fought battles there. From Memphis on the west side to the Eastern borders covers one hell of a beautiful drive. I suspect she will be buried there among the many other famous people of Tennessee from Davy Crockett to Patty Page. God Blessed her for her singing & beautiful persona. That doggie in the window went up in price & the Tennessee Waltz is alive.
