Country star Tanya Tucker has bounced back from a bout of poor health to celebrate Christmastime with hometown fans at an impromptu gig in Arizona.
Find: Tucker's turbulent past
The singer hit the stage at the Rix Tavern in Wilcox on Wednesday. Tucker, who spent much of her young life in the town, was joined by her daughters and son at the show. She postponed the last date of her 2012 tour earlier this month due to health concerns.
The "Delta Dawn" singer was slated to take the stage at the Foothills Performing Arts Center in Oneonta, N.Y., on Dec. 9, but pulled out of the show for undisclosed medical reasons and rescheduled the concert for next August.
Tanya is wonderful. The whole band sounded great in Sturgis. She and her band asked my husband who was recently in a motorcycle wreck and in a wheelchair to come back stage with all his friends to watch the show. They provided everything he needed to have a wonderful time! It is nice to know there are caring people out there.
Thanks very much Tanya!
Well wishes to you.
