U2 frontman Bono organizes the annual celebrity singalong on the city's
Grafton Street, and this year he really brought the festive cheer in a bid to
raise cash for homeless charities. Among the songs the stars performed were an
acoustic rendition of U2's "Desire" and a beautiful rendition of "Nothing
Compares 2 U" (a Prince song with which O'Connor had a big hit in
1990) as well as festive favorites "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" and
"Silent Night."
Joining the superstar trio for the Christmas Eve busking were
singer-songwriter Damien Rice and Hothouse Flowers frontman Liam
O'Maonlai.
