Madonna threatened to cancel her show in Chile on Wednesday after catching fans smoking cigarettes in front of the stage during a soundcheck.

Madonna hit the stage during a rain shower in Santiago to test the sound equipment at the Estadio Nacional stadium, and fans flocked to the venue early to catch the singer go through her routines. But as Madonna reached the front of her stage's runway into the audience, she spotted a number of people smoking and lashed out at them in an angry tirade.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the star said into her microphone, "People are smoking right now, no smoking! Where are they smoking? If you're going to smoke I am not doing the show. ... If you don't care about me, I don't care about you. All right, we gonna play that game? I'm not kidding. I can't sing if you smoke. Entiende [understand]? If you love me then don't smoke ... You're looking at me while you're still smoking, like I'm a stupid f------ idiot." The singer then stormed offstage.
Madonna's concert went ahead as planned, despite her earlier comments.
Ok, I've heard the pros and cons of Madonna performing with a smoking environment. Are you kidding me people. She makes more than I can in a lifetime in a 2-4 hour performance. She knew the risks when she started. As a matter of fact, when she started, there was no laws against smoking in an arena or anywhere for that matter. So give ma a damn break you perfect, innocent idiots. Do you think your steel workers should not make your products because of the dangers involved. Do you think your plastic manufacturers should not produce the products that you enjoy every day because of the dangers involved. Wake up and smell the roses you perfect blind people. And by the way, while our people are inhaling the dangerous fumes manufacturing your products that you enjoy everyday, you don't want them to have union protection either. So, if you fight the smoke issue, how about sticking up for the rest of America that makes your life possible and comfortable you wimps!
