Christina Aguilera to receive special People's Choice award

"The Voice" judge Christina Aguilera will receive a special prize at the 2013 People's Choice Awards in honor of her music career.
Aguilera is set to be handed the People's Voice award at the Los Angeles event on Jan. 9 in recognition of her 13 years in the industry.

After picking up her prize, Aguilera will perform at the ceremony, where she is also up for the Favorite Celebrity Judge honor for her appearances on "The Voice," which crowned a winner on Tuesday --- Aguilera's 32nd birthday.
Aguilera's former co-judge Adam Levine leads the nominations at the awards with six nods.

I think the award is well deserve, as a matter of fact it's about time she and other real singers get recognize for their talent. She may not have great success in the past few years, but that doesn't take away the fact that she has actual talent. If you look at all the great singers, you can tell that their career is not define by how many albums they sell. I hate when people compare Christina to Britney, but as an example I'm going to use her. Britney is no Madonna, so when she turns 50 and her looks, dancing (which has been lacking as of late) fade will she still be relevant? But then you look at Celine Dion, Aretha etc.. all true legends, they are still around because they have actual talent and that's the difference.

Christina has it all....she is the....VOICE!. She has the stage presence, the right feeling and moves for every song...her music is a step ahead of everyone.........and she is absolutely stunning ...every inch of her, especially that Face......Every interview I have seen...she still has her feet on the ground. She loves to be herself.....confident in herself......This is the total package...brains, beauty and talent ..Very rare...and very special.
