Snoop Dogg (aka Snoop Lion) and Gloria Estefan are among the
guests set to attend a funeral planned for late Latin superstar Jenni Rivera this week.
The Mexican-American singer, who died in a plane crash on Dec. 9, will be laid to rest in her hometown of Long Beach, Calif., reports TMZ.com. According to the website, a public memorial is scheduled for Tuesday, and a private service will be held the following day.

Rivera was reportedly lined up to collaborate with rapper Snoop Dogg, and Estefan was a longtime friend of the singer. Edward James Olmos, who co-starred in her debut film, "Filly Brown," is also expected to pay tribute to Rivera at the send-off.
The 43-year-old star was flying in a private Learjet 25 with six other passengers when it went down in Nuevo Leon, Mexico. The wreckage of the aircraft was found scattered near the city of Monterrey.
I had never heard of Jenni Rivera until after the news reported that a Mexican singer died in a plane crash. It is a tragic story, no matter whether she was not well-known in most of the U.S, no matter that she was a single mother of 5, no matter what she sang about.....the fact is that she was loved and appreciated by many. People should stop being so ignorant and learn to be more compassionate. At the end of the day, she was still a human being. How are we supposed to make the world a better place when it is full of critism? We need to learn to love, to give and be grateful for all we have as we do not know when our blessings can be taken away from us. Peace and love to all.
