Rapper Rick Ross has canceled the remainder of his American tour. The hip-hop star scrapped two shows in North Carolina this week and reports suggested the cancellation was due to an alleged threat to his safety after a warning video linked to a local gang was posted online.

Ross was due back on stage on Sunday night for a concert in Nashville, Tennessee, but he has shut down the gig along with the rest of the remaining dates on his Maybach Music Tour, which also featured Wale and Meek Mill and was due to run until Dec. 16.
A statement from Ross' representatives, obtained by Allhiphop.com, suggests the cancellations are due to problems with the tour's promoters, blaming an "apparent lack of organization and communication," while Ross offered an apology to fans, saying, "I want to apologize to all of my fans who I missed performing for due to the cancellations and want to let them know that I will get back to their cities. I enjoyed my experience with my little bros Wale and Meek Mill and I'm ready to get back in the studio to make good music."
