Lady Gaga has written 50 songs for new album

In a conversation with fans conducted over Twitter this week, Lady Gaga revealed that she has already written around 50 songs for her forthcoming new album, "ARTPOP."

The information surfaced when one fan asked her if any of the new tracks would be similar to the song "Dance in the Dark," off 2009's The Fame Monster. "i have written like 50 songs," Gaga replied. "i don't know what will rise to top. but thats how i wrote the fame/the fame monster."

Lady Gaga had revealed in September that ARTPOP, her fourth record, would be released as both a regular album and as an interactive app packed with extras like videos for each song, bonus music, games, magazines, chats, and fashion updates.

In response to another fan's question asking whether ARTPOP would feature any collaborations, Gaga answered that she wasn't sure yet and said that the album "stands pretty firm on its own." "i'll release collabs regardless if they're on album or not, thats whats nice about app," she added. "i can upload new material all the time."

Addressing another fan eagerly pressing for more information about the new album, Gaga attempted to reassure her audience. "everyone needs to keep calm + trust mother," she wrote. "relinquish control of ARTPOP. erase your preconceived notions of my music."

ok  already.....let's face it, Madonna came along when Madonna was cool.....everyone loved her, her music and her rebelious nature........she had her time, but just can not seem to give it up to new, young, cool talent on the horizon.....

Gaga came along in the next generation with more swag, a better voice, outsanding dance skills, one helluva a knack for production of her shows and she has killer vocals/songs that are totally relevent to today, along with the fact that she has a vision for more than just herself (unlike Ma'don't)....Gaga has jumped on the wagon and spoken out for bullying and young people are listening.....Hell, I'm 55, a former dance educator and all my students dug Gaga, wanted to dance to all of her songs......she's hip, she's cool, she's ONE-of-KIND.................can.'t wait to see her again in March in NYC @ the Garden.....

Ma'don't, that's my new name for her after seeing MDNA @ Yankee Stadium, aww, she had to get wet and her show sucked, bad... Ma'don't had her time in the spotlight, let it go M and keep directing thse shitty movies..........

At first thought it sounds like she's trying to out do The Wall by having more songs. It would be interesting to see if they all link into a story like The Wall does. It's good to see an artist with musical studies and other musical arts under her belt, it really shows how music used to take serious time to make instead of how fast it is today.
