Sylvester Stallone premieres 'Rocky' musical in Germany

WENN

Sylvester Stallone jetted to Germany to open a new musical adaptation of his boxing hit "Rocky" on Sunday.

The action star, who created and starred in the "Rocky" franchise, teamed up with champion boxing brothers Vladimir and Vitali Klitschko to bring his classic 1976 film to the stage. He was in Hamburg over the weekend for the production's opening night and is hoping the show will be a knock-out with audiences.

In a statement, Stallone says, "I'm so happy. It's amazing that the Klitschkos are here and they're giving birth to something that is first on the planet. I'm proud of you guys. I'm proud of Hamburg. Thank you!" Vitali adds, "Sylvester Stallone is the Pope of "Rocky." Without Sylvester, nothing happens. He's given birth to the idea and we've had lots of fun during our cooperation. We're very convinced it will be successful."

The musical is expected to transfer to Broadway in 2013.

Here's to the musical that it delivers the Rocky Spirit to go the distance.  Please read the book Rocky Spirit, the Rocky Balboa connection to Success. It has been called "A Masterpiece" by Burt Young.

A Musical Boxer, we can laugh all day about that. Oops ..meant to say Cry cause it hurts so much that the Boxing Profession will belong to a bunch of wussies on a Stage other than the Ring.

Ring a Ding Ding!    Lights out on this venture.  It's a sure KO even before it begins. LOL.

Who said CATS ?  Meow ... as long as the girls have pussies it's surely better than Boxing wussies.

Stallone should of quit after Rocky 3.  First defeat Apollo, Second take out Mr.T, Third the final blow to USSR/ Soviets.

AHH C'MON!  Rocky is the sole reminder on what it takes to be a man.  Now it's a musical.  Oh well, there's still Cinderella Man...

Yo, yo.  Yo Rock-yyy.  This idea sounds like a whiner.  What does he sing while being roundhoused for the 50th time, before his standard late round "comeback"?
